Troubleshooting Steps
1. Identify the Cause
- Check for Hazards: Ensure there’s no actual smoke or carbon monoxide hazard present.
2. Reset the Alarm
- Press and Hold: Locate the reset button and hold it for 15-20 seconds.
3. Power Cycle (For Hardwired Units)
- Turn Off Circuit Breaker: Switch off the breaker connected to the alarm.
- Wait a Minute: Allow a moment before turning it back on.
4. Test the Alarm
- Press the Test Button: Confirm that the alarm is functioning correctly.
